SCARBOROUGH — A Buy Local Scarborough inaugural celebration will take place Tuesday, March 23, at the Landing at Pine Point from 5-7 :30 p.m.
Buy Local Scarborough started in November 2009 and now has 100 members. The organization released a Guide to Buying Local in Scarborough and a new Web site. A second guide and Consumer Card will be released in April.
The event is free, and independently owned businesses in Scarborough are encouraged to attend. There will be raffles and door prizes and an opportunity to network with other businesses and try local food and a cash bar.
