BRUNSWICK — The house where Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote famed anti-slavery novel “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” has been included in the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom by the National Park Service.

Bowdoin College, which owns the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, will have a free, open house Thursday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the 63 Federal St. building to celebrate the designation and showcase a new public exhibit space, “Harriet’s Writing Room.”
