BRUNSWICK — A celebration of Growstown, a section of town near Church Road that includes several historical sites, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Throughout the day there will be tours of Growstown’s historic features: the historic school house, built in 1849, and the only one-room school house remaining of the 26 once in Brunswick; the First Baptist Church, the oldest in the town, built in 1827, and the Growstown Cemetery, which is still used for burials.
