6/17 at 11:19 p.m. Jacob Lane Harrison, 21, of Middlesex Road, Topsham, was arrested by Officer Kristian Oberg on Lincoln Street on charges of operating under the influence and probation violation.

6/18 at 3:17 p.m. Vincent Nickolas Oppedisano, 42, of Pleasant Hill Road, was arrested by Officer Gretchen Paxton on Pleasant Hill Road on a charge of violating condition of release.

6/18 at 9:55 p.m. Edward H. Hahnel, 44, of Middlesex Road, Topsham, was arrested by Officer William Moir on Gurnet Road on charges of operating after license suspension, operating under the influence and possession of marijuana.

6/16 at 4:01 p.m. Orville T. Ranger, 84, of Harding Road, was issued a summons by Captain Mark Waltz on Maine Street on charges of violating public fire safety rule and failure to have more than one way of egress.

Taxi troublemaker

6/16 at 11:55 a.m. A Brunswick Taxi driver called for assistance with a passenger who had requested a ride to TJ Maxx and upon arrival refused to pay. After two officers arrived, police said the passenger quickly handed over the cash to the driver.

Major mower mishap

6/16 at 2:43 p.m. A Church Road resident called to report that her riding lawn mower was on fire. She had been mowing the lawn when she reportedly heard “a pop,” and the engine burst into flames. The fire department was able to put it out easily, but the mower was a total loss.

Odd pairing

6/17 at 3:33 p.m. A Hannaford employee called to report that a 15-year old boy and 14-year old girl had been caught stealing Goldschläger and muffins from the grocery store. They were both issued summonses on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
