7/22 at 12:01 a.m. Bryan D. Wilson, 19, no address given, was arrested by Officer Jason McCarthy on Maine Street on charges of assault, violating condition of release, trafficking in dangerous knives and minor consuming alcohol.

7/23 at 5:45 p.m. Vickroy A. Beggs, 40, of Cedar Street, was issued a summons by Lieutenant Todd Ridlon on a charge of operating without a license.

7/24 at 11:12 a.m. Joshua R. Shepard, 23, of Market Lane, was issued a summons by Officer Patrick Mahar on Pleasant Street on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Shaved ice

7/19 at 1:15 p.m. A Hannaford employee reported two individuals had been seen stealing a bag of ice and razor blades. Police were unable to locate them.

Hot dog

7/19 at 3:22 p.m. Someone in the Walmart parking lot called to report there was a dog locked inside a car. Police responded and educated the pet owner, who they found in the parking lot, about the risks of leaving dogs in cars when it is hot out. According to Captain Mark Waltz, if the temperature is greater than 70 degrees, a pet should not be left in a vehicle for any length of time.

Cold turkey

7/22 at 4:37 p.m. A Hannaford employee reported that a man had been caught stealing a box of Drumsticks ice cream cones and a turkey sub. The man was issued a summons on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
