BRUNSWICK — The town has been named a Main Street Maine community, the Brunswick Downtown Association announced.
The designation, given by the Maine Development Foundation, opens up a variety of resources, including guidance, technical assistance, and professional training services in the art and science of downtown revitalization. In return, Brunswick has pledged to create a locally supported and sustainable program for downtown revitalization.
Brunswick will be the first town in Cumberland County to be named a Maine Street Maine community, joining Bath, Belfast, Biddeford, Gardiner, Rockland, Saco, Sanford, Skowhegan, and Waterville to become the 10th such town.
