BRUNSWICK — A Brunswick man remained in Cumberland County Jail in Portland on Wednesday morning, held without bail, after he allegedly attempted to strangle a woman, struck her in the head several times, and threatened to kill her when she tried to call the police.
Joshua D. Arnold, 26, was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing.
The woman reported the alleged crimes after police went to Arnold’s Brunswick home at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said Wednesday.
Arnold is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Unified Criminal Court on Sept. 22.
