FREEPORT — A 27-year-old Brunswick man is being charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pushing a friend down a flight of stairs Tuesday at Freeport Village Station.

Nicholas S. Miller allegedly showed up at a store where his friend works, following an earlier disagreement between the pair, said Freeport Police Lt. Susan Nourse.

The friend, a 25-year-old male from Brunswick, left work and was followed by Miller. Miller then allegedly pushed his friend down a long granite stairwell, leaving him with injuries including a concussion, a sprained ankle and cuts, Nourse said.

The injured man was able to go back to the store, where his boss called police, Nourse said.

Miller was arrested at his home on MacMillan Drive by Brunswick police later that day and taken to Cumberland County Jail.

He was arraigned Wednesday and faces Class A charges of aggravated assault.
