PORTLAND — Brunswick resident Travis Leeman, 30, was arrested by the FBI June 5 after he allegedly robbed Infinity Federal Credit Union in Arundel on May 29.
The FBI said Leeman allegedly entered the credit union at around 9:30 a.m. and stole nearly $7,700 at gunpoint. York County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the FBI were led to Leeman after receiving a report that he purchased a bag, similar to the one used in the robbery, at a store in Biddeford 30 minutes before the robbery took place.
He was charged with federal bank robbery and, if convicted, could serve up to a 25-year prison sentence.
