BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital is offering prostate cancer screenings at no cost on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Screenings will include consultation with a physician, a blood draw, and an exam of the prostate gland.
Prostate cancer is the second most common form of cancer affecting men, according to the hospital. The screening is directed at men at a higher risk: over the age of 55, African American men over 40, or men over 40 with a family history of prostate cancer.
