BRUNSWICK — The School Department seeking families to host 18 Chinese foreign exchange students for a few days this month.

The students and two teachers will be participating in a summer “mini camp” hosted by the School Department July 21-25.

The Chinese students can speak intermediate English, but are participating in the program to improve their language skills.

Host families are not required to have a student at Brunswick High School. Their duties will include providing a bed, serving breakfast and dinner, providing transportation to the high school, and meeting with teacher and program coordinator Robert Goddard prior to the students’ arrival.

The foreign exchange program is part of a new sister school agreement between the School Department and a high school in Jinhua, in the central Chinese province of Zheijang.

Interested families should contact Goddard at 729-2066 or rgoddard@brunswick.k12.me.us.
