BRUNSWICK — Police arrested an Oak Street couple for allegedly selling heroin in Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said Saturday, Dec. 19, that the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Justin Coffin and Tara Dry-Crooker, both 35, at their apartment on charges of unlawful trafficking in heroin.

MDEA agents searched the apartment Dec. 18 and found 800 bags of heroin worth $16,000, and $5,000 in cash, according to McCausland.

The couple was arrested without incident and taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, McCausland said. Coffin’s bail was set at $2000, and  Dry-Crooker’s at $500.

They are scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court Jan. 12.

Deputies from the Lincoln and Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s offices, along with officers from the Bath and Brunswick Police departments, assisted in the case.
