BRUNSWICK — The CVS Health Foundation, a private charitable organization created by CVS Health in partnership with the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, has awarded a $20,000 grant to the Oasis Free Clinic.
The funding will be used to help educate and provide customized support to patients with diabetes or pre-diabetes, according to a press release from CVS Health.
With the $20,000 grant, Oasis will hire a diabetes educator who will provide customized support to patients who are diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes.
The clinic will also partner with a local food pantry to develop a diabetic “food kit” that will allow patients to identify and obtain free diabetes-friendly groceries.
