BRUNSWICK — An 18-year-old Brunswick man was arrested last week in connection with the theft of four motor vehicles over a four-day period.

Cars left with their keys inside were stolen, driven around town, and abandoned, according to police. In two cases, the cars were stolen while their owners were inside area restaurants.

Stephen G. Beaulieu of Cumberland Street was arrested at the Shaw’s parking lot off of Congress Street in Bath on May 3 by Bath police, who turned him over to Brunswick Police Department detectives William P. Moir and Gregory P. Mears.

Beaulieu allegedly stole the vehicles between April 29 and May 2. He was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
