BRUNSWICK — Brunswick Executive Airport will receive three federal grants totaling $2.65 million.
More than $1 million of the funds from the Federal Aviation Administration will be used for updating Hangar 6, which houses Tempus Jets, an aircraft refurbishment company, according to a press release from the office of U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine.
The other $1.6 million will be divided equally into bringing runway lighting up to FAA regulations, and constructing a system to capture glycol, a chemical used in plane de-icing.
