SOUTH PORTLAND — Portland Water District will begin replacing 1,500 feet of a 12-inch water main next Monday on a stretch of Broadway between Dawson and Hobart streets.
The affected area is in the western side of the city near Wescott Road. Spokeswoman Michelle Clements said crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and are expected to finish the work in mid-July.
Only one-way eastbound traffic will be allowed on Broadway during work hours. A westbound detour will use Main Street south to Westbrook Street.
