Bowdoin and Colby met on the gridiron Saturday for the 125th time and it’s safe to say the ending of this game was something no one had seen before. Tied, 20-20, with just 12 seconds left, the Polar Bears scored on a “Hail Mary” pass. After the Mules returned a blocked extra point for a two-point score, Colby tried a series of desperate laterals on the ensuing kickoff, but Bowdoin’s Brian Glazewski got his hands on the ball and took it into the end zone to put the exclamation point on the Polar Bears’ 32-22 win.

That score led to a joyous celebration in the aftermath, with longtime Bowdoin coach Dave Caputi right in the middle of things.
