FREEPORT — The annual South Freeport Congregational Church Blueberry Festival will take place Aug. 5-7.
The festival at the church at 98 South Freeport Road features jewelry sales and arts-and-crafts vendors on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Aug. 5 there will be a $20 lobster dinner at 5:30 p.m. The Wicked Good Band performs at 7 p.m.; tickets are $25, or $10 for those also attending the lobster dinner.
Saturday, Aug. 6 will have a Kids Zone with events for children all day, including a pet parade at 9:30 a.m. For $5 each, children can also enjoy music, games, a bounce house, a dunk tank, Coastal Encounters, Birds of Prey, and more. Also, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be pies and blueberry baked goods for sale, with lunch available starting at 11:30 a.m.
On Sunday there will be a blueberry pancake breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m., followed by an outdoor church service.
