BRUNSWICK — Beverly A. Coombs Dyer, 76, died April 23.

Born in York on Dec. 17, 1934, she was the daughter of LaForest and Beatrice (Freeman) Coombs.

In 1953 she graduated from Morse High School.

For 19 years she worked at Bath Iron Works until retiring in 2000. She also worked part-time for Laverdiere’s and at Rite-Aid.

She was a member of the Bath Marine Draftsmen Association, and the West Bath Grange where she enjoyed dancing for many years.

Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and card nights with “the girls.”

She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Coombs.

Surviving are her children, Donna Lowery and her husband Norman of Bath, Dennis Dyer of Windham, and Doreen Weissberg of Yakima, Wash.; grandchildren Gary Garrett of Brunswick, Robert Dyer and Danielle Dyer, both of Windham, Jennifer Younker, Laura Moore, Kristina Moore, and Darus Moore, all of Yakima, Wash., Derek Moore of  Aviano Air Base, Italy; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Verna Coombs of Topsham, Una Dyer of Bath, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Stanley and Royalene Dyer of Brunswick; many cousins; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at the Topsham American Legion.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
