SOUTH PORTLAND — Betty Jeanne Henry, 87, died May 9 at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.
On July 3, 1921, she was born in Baraboo, Wis.
She was an active member of St. Albans Church in Cape Elizabeth and The Red Hats Society at Betsy Ross House in South Portland.
She had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Milton Henry, her son William “Billy” Henry, one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include her three children, Betsy Ogden Kelley of South Portland, James “Jake” Henry and his wife Connie of Steamboat Springs, Colo., daughter Valerie (Henry) Cantrell and husband Brad of Tremont, Ill.; five grandchildren, Lisa Kelley, Curtis Cantrell, Zeke Henry, Todd Cantrell and Sabrina Cantrell.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
