BRUNSWICK — Bernadette H. Dugal, 94, of Brunswick, died March 25, at Horizons Rehab & Living Facility with her family by her side.

She was born in Brunswick March 2, 1922, a daughter of Arthur J. and Marianne Thibeault Gagne Sr. She attended St. Johns School and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1938.

On May 25, 1946, she married Robert U. Dugal at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the couple made their home in Brunswick.

Dugal worked at WT Grant, Gosselin’s Furniture, Ford Cleaners, Pleasant Street Market, and Economy Market. She enjoyed taking care of her family with tender loving care, cooking,  sewing, knitting, fundraising through her church’s beano games, and visiting the sick.

She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she was a member of Ladies of St. Anne, Society of Mary, the Mission Club and the rosary-making club.

Dugal also enjoyed traveling with her husband, and always relished visits with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Dugal; four sisters, Grace Cloutier, Imelda Tetu, Mary Jane Levesque and Therese Lachance; and four brothers, Arthur, Silvio, Doue and Anthony Gagne.

Survivors include a son, George Dugal, and a daughter, Louise D. Allen both of Brunswick; a sister, Ginette Beauchesne, of Auburn; a brother, Fr. Donald Gagne, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Adam Dugal, Heather Allen and Shaun Allen; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Horizons Rehab & Living in Brunswick for their compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, at All Saints Parish, St. John the Baptist Church.
