BRUNSWICK — Seeds of Independence will hold a benefit concert Friday, Aug. 28, for the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

The hospital was built with the help of the Brunswick-based nonprofit on the site of an old garbage dump, and now sees more than 60,000 patients a year, according to a press release.

Seeds of Independence will be hosting the Marantha Band from the Dominican Republic for a free out-door concert at Brunswick Landing. The music starts at 6 p.m., and all donations will go to the Good Samaritan Hospital.
