South Portland residents Mickey Finn, left, Sandra Tamburri and Robert Tamburri unveil a bench Monday dedicated to survivors of the battle of Cu Chi, a 1966 Vietnam War battle that lasted more than two months in 1966. Tamburri, a U.S. Army veteran who fought in the battle, said the bench at the city Service Monument in Mill Creek Park will be a place “to reflect on war and sacrifice and also a place of peace.” The ceremony was part of the city’s annual observance of Veterans Day.
