CAPE ELIZABETH — Online registration for the 12th annual TD Banknorth Beach to Beacon 10K race will open at noon on March 15. Race organizers have expanded the field size to 6,000 participants this year – in increase of 500 runners – but expect spots to fill up even faster than last year’s record of 26 hours.
Online registration is the only way to sign up for the race, which is scheduled for Aug. 1. The 2009 entry fee is $35. Interested runners can get more information and register at beach2beacon.org.
Registration for the Kids Fun Run will also open March 15, though this year it will be run the day before the 10K, on July 31.
