CAPE ELIZABETH — The beneficiary of the 19th TD Beach to Beacon 10K road race on Aug. 6 will be My Place Teen Center.
The Westbrook organization provides free after-school youth development programming for at-risk teens in greater Portland. It serves 570 kids a year with meals, academic assistance and life-skills programs.
Race organizers choose one charitable organization as the TD Beach to Beacon beneficiary each year. In a press release Wednesday, race organizers said the teen center will receive $30,000.
