BATH — All incumbents in Bath and Topsham plan to seek re-election to local offices Nov. 6.

Nomination papers for the Bath City Council must be returned to the office of City Clerk Mary White by Tuesday, Aug. 21.

With a week to go, Councilors Sean Paulhus, Terry Nordmann and Bernie Wyman in Wards 2, 3 and 4, respectively, were the only people to return papers, let alone take them out.

Paulhus has served since 2008, Nordmann since 2015 and Wyman since 1994.

Also in Bath, both Regional School Unit 1 board members with expiring terms have said they are seeking new terms. Chairman Steve August, who has served since 2012, and Vice Chairman Lou Ensel, on the board since 2015, fill two of the board’s three “unrestricted-residence” positions, for anyone with a voting residence in the RSU.

Papers are due back to the RSU 1 office Monday, Sept. 24.

In Topsham, Roland Tufts said he plans to run again for his seat on the Board of Selectmen, which he has held since 2015. Dorothy Gardner has submitted papers for the School Administrative District 75 board, on which she first served from 1977-1992, and then from 2000 to the present.

Papers for both the Board of Selectmen and School Board are due back to the office of Town Clerk Linda Dumont on Friday, Sept. 7.
