BATH — Police charged a 12-year-old Phippsburg student with Class D terrorizing after a bomb scare at Bath Middle School on Monday.
The boy allegedly wrote a “vague” bomb threat with a highlighter on a boys’ bathroom stall, according to Lt. Stan Cielinski. The message was reported to police at 9:58 a.m., and the boy was issued a summons by 1 p.m.
The school was not evacuated, Cielinski said, noting that “between the school staff and the officers, they solved (the case) fairly quickly.” He said the threat was unfounded.
This was the third bomb threat at Bath Middle School this year, Cielinski said.
