9/25 Stephanie A. Walker, 37, of Phippsburg, was arrested on Water Street on a warrant.

Summonses

9/17 Christa Gallagher, 38, of High Street, was issued a summons on Route 1 by Officer Richard Ross on a charge of theft.

9/22 Heather Precopio, 27, of Washington Street, was issued a summons on Washington Street by Officer Richard Ross on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

Debenchery

9/23 at 9:55 a.m. Officer Richard Ross responded to a report that a granite park bench, worth $1,500, was vandalized in Waterfront Park. The backrest had been snapped off and thrown down the rocky bank of the Kennebec River, shattering and necessitating replacement of the entire bench. A bench in Library Park had been wrecked in the same way.

Nabbed nurse

9/25 After an investigation that began in July, police arrested Stephanie A. Walker, 37, of Phippsburg, on a warrant charging her with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and receiving stolen property. Walker worked as a home-care nurse at a Bath residence where thousands of dollars worth of jewelry had been reported missing. Detective Sgt. Robert Savary found that some of the missing jewelry was sold by Walker to a local gold and silver exchange company.
