PORTLAND — A Bath man was indicted April 9 for a series of motor vehicle burglaries and other crimes he is alleged to have committed in January in Cumberland and Yarmouth.

Charles Bushman, 28, was charged with 22 counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, Class C theft, six counts of Class E theft and three counts of misuse of credit identification.

Bushman was charged with motor vehicle burglaries on Route 88 in Cumberland and on South and Center streets in Yarmouth.

The indictment by a Cumberland County grand jury is not a conviction, only a finding that enough evidence exists to prosecute.
