BATH — The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust will host its annual meeting at Maine Maritime Museum, 243 Washington St., at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7.

The public is invited to attend the gathering, which will showcase the land trust’s work with the Maine Farmland Trust to protect important local farmland, and highlight the trust’s role in supporting the new Merrymeeting Food Council.

Guest speakers include Amanda Beal and Adam Bishop from the Maine Farmland Trust.  Chris Cabot, the land trust’s land conservation and farmland protection specialist, will introduce the Merrymeeting Food Council. The council brings  farmers, nonprofit organizations, businesses, governments and individuals together to boost a successful food system.
