BRUNSWICK — Barbara L. Hall, 80, died June 24 at her residence.
Born in Newton, Mass., on Dec. 24, 1929, a daughter of John G. and Helen I. Chalmers Learmonth, she graduated from Newton High School in 1947 and attended Colby Sawyer Junior College.
She was married to Henry W. Hall until his death in July 2007.
After moving to Maine, she was a deacon for the Mid Coast Presbyterian Church in Topsham, and served on the board of the 55+ Center.
Her commitment to volunteerism was recognized with a Governor’s Volunteer Award.
Surviving are her five children, Whitney and his wife Candace, Pam Dionne and her husband Roger, Peter and his wife Eileen, Henry Jr., and Charlotte Harmon; two brothers, Jack and Bob; seven grandchildren, Whit, Ben, Brett, Justin, Anna, Carolyn and Catherine.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at the Mid Coast Presbyterian Church in Topsham.
