PORTLAND — Barbara Jean (Chase) Ramsey, 72, died May 17 at the Barron Center.
On Aug. 10, 1938, she was born in Portland, a daughter of Leslie N. Chase and Marjorie (Greene) Chase, and attended local schools.
She enjoyed shopping and talking on the phone. She loved children and enjoyed babysitting whenever the chance arose.
Surviving are her five sons, Richard S. Ramsey of Windham, Donald Ramsey of Peoria, Ill., Dennis Ramsey of Dallas, Texas, Jeff N. Ramsey of Portland and Mark A. Ramsey of Windham; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, at Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave., Portland.
Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Portland, 981 Forest Ave., Portland.
