BRUNSWICK —Barbara E. Moody, 70, died June 13 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick.

She was born in Bath on  December 19, 1941, the daughter of James and Annie Gilliam Caton.  She attended West Point and Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School in 1959.   

On April 15, 1959, she married Kenneth R. Moody of Brunswick.

Together with her husband, Moody operated a refrigeration and snowplowing business.  She also delivered papers for the Times Record, sold Avon products and worked in the food service industry for over 40 years before retiring. 

Moody was a member of the Topsham American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed bowling, shopping, gardening, gambling, traveling and most of all spending time with her family.

Moody was predeceased by her husband; her parents; her stepfather, Arlo Parker; brother, James Jr; and sister, Carolyn Moore. 

She is survived by two daughters Rhonda Switzer and her husband, Eric, and Sherri Moody; son, Robert Moody; 10 grandchildren Kenneth Switzer, Robbie Joe Moody, Christopher Switzer, Brandi Moody, James Moody, Tyler Moody, Robert R. Moody, Silas Moody, Madison Moody and Ryleigh Moody; sister, Norma Billings, of Woolwich; stepsister, Peggy, of Brunswick; many nieces and nephews; and several newly rediscovered family members.

A funeral service was held on June 18. Internment followed in Maquoit Cemetery, Brunswick.
