TOPSHAM — Barbara Anne Barrows (Bartos) Patterson, 71, died April 14 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Topsham on July 5, 1938, a daughter of Russell and L. Thelma Dorr Barrows.
In 1956 she graduated from Brunswick High School and worked at Pejepscot Paper and Arrow Hart Corporation.
In 2006 she married Brian Patterson.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 158 Auxiliary of Lisbon, the Lisbon VFW Post, the Brunswick Elks, and was a former member of the Topsham Grange.
She was predeceased by a grandchild.
Surviving are her husband Brian of Topsham; two sons, Joseph Bartos III of Topsham, and Robert E. Bartos of Bath; a stepson, Jason Patterson of Bowdoin; three daughters, Patti Jeanne Bartos of Brunswick, Vicki Lynn McLean of Salem, Mass., and Trudi Anne Grant of Lisbon; two sisters, Patricia Brann of Lewiston, and Carolyn Harper of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
