SCARBOROUGH — April showers bring May flowers – and kitten supplies. Biddeford Savings in Scarborough is helping the Animal Welfare Society handle the influx of kittens that happens each spring by holding a “kitten shower.”

For about a month, the Scarborough branch on Route 1 will collect donations of supplies from the general public, including clumping cat litter, paper towels, wet and dry kitten food, toys and kitten milk replacement, which it will deliver to the Animal Welfare Society in West Kennebunk.

For more information about donations, contact the project’s coordinator, Customer Service Representative Nicole Jeffers, at 883-3004.  For information about the Project Kitten Challenge, contact Gail Crowell at 985-3244, ext. 117.
