Brian Sheehy of the Danvers, Mass., Essex Ball Club explains how it was done in the old days for a group of Little Leaguers on Saturday, June 26 in Freeport. On Sunday, Sheehy’s Boston Bean Eaters team took on Dirigo Vintage Baseball Club of Augusta in a throwback game at the Freeport Historical Society’s Pettingill Farm.
