Maine Fiberarts is kicking off the 2014 holiday season with two exhibitions of contemporary fiber work by its members. “Maine Fiberarts at the University of Southern Maine,” on view to Dec. 19, includes “Fabric Collage” by Robert McKibben, and selected works by over 30 other artists. A reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, from 3-5 p.m. at the exhibition in USM’s Glickman Family Library, on the Portland campus. At the Maine Fiberarts Gallery, a show features members’ work in nearly two dozen fiber mediums. Items are on sale through Dec. 31 at the gallery, 13 Main St., Topsham.
