Astronauts and aliens are some of the subjects of a new exhibit that opened March 5 at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. “Past Futures: Science Fiction, Space Travel and Postwar Art of the Americas” features over 60 works in a range of mediums and styles. The exhibit includes “Astronaut and Witnesses, Televised,” a 1971 oil painting by Argentine artist Raquel Forner, on loan from the University of Texas at Austin. “Past Futures” runs to June 7, at the museum, on Bowdoin’s quad in Brunswick.
