For the 10th year, the Thos. Moser furniture showroom is displaying “The Best of Maine Contemporary Art” – paintings and mixed-media works by nearly 20 prominent artists, including “Waypoint No. 1” by Eric Hopkins. The exhibit, with works priced up to $130,000, is valued at more than $2 million. Many of them have previously hung at the Portland Museum of Art or museums at Bates College or the University of New England. The show opened last week and runs to Oct. 12 at Thos. Moser, 149 Main St., Freeport.
