James Seavey’s “Homage to Ohr-2” is a free-spun aluminum vessel exhibited in his Water-Metal-Image show beginning Jan. 3, 2014 at Daunis Fine Jewelry, 616 Congress St., Portland. Seavey works in three mediums: free spun aluminum vessels, water colors and photographs, all relating and yet standing alone. He uses the camera and spinning metal as a way of exploring form and color. His water color paintings support the photographic images and the surfaces of the vessels. The show runs through Feb. 28. Museum hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and some Saturdays.
