Artist George Mason brings his work, including “Rich for the Vitals,” to Yarmouth in March for a celebration of “community as art.” Mason will serve as artist-in-residence at Yarmouth High School, and a survey of his work opens Monday at Merrill Memorial Library. Discussions, demonstrations and other events are also scheduled throughout the month, including a reception with Mason on Sunday at 4 p.m., at the Bickford Education Center. Mason, of Nobleboro, works in a wide variety of mediums. “I create conditions and experiments that I then follow with great curiosity,” he says.
