“Color, Light, Cows” is the title and the subject of Claire Bigbee’s new collection of paintings at Daunis Fine Handmade Jewelry, opening Jan. 2 during Portland’s First Friday Art Walk. Bigbee, who studied at the Maine College of Art and lives in Wells, uses vivid colors to depict the area’s marshes and fields, along with their inhabitants, such as cows, deer and birds.
