Wildlife are the theme of Richard Boyd Art Gallery’s fifth annual “Creatures and Critters” benefit exhibit, which includes “Monkey Alchemist” by Jeffrey Ackerman, and other paintings and sculpture in a variety of styles. Each year, a portion of the show’s sale proceeds is donated to an animal charity, and this year’s recipient is Friends of Feral Felines. The nonprofit group, based in Portland, works to humanely reduce the number of feral cats in local communities. “Creatures and Critters” runs through April 30, and a reception with the artists is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the gallery, 15 Epps St., Peaks Island.
