Compositions in wood created by local artist Carole Kainlor will be on display at Cia Cafe, 72 Ocean St., South Portland, April through June. Kainlor’s work includes a series of assemblages using multicolored, geometric pieces of cut wood as a medium. The artist’s reception is on Thursday, April 24, 6-8 p.m. Cia’s daily hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., 747-4414.
