Marilyn Bickford, left, Pamela Higgins, kneeling, and Tamson Bickford make last-minute decisions about hanging works for this year’s Yarmouth Art Festival at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. The eighth annual juried show runs Oct. 19-22 at 396 Gilman Road. The festival received 486 submissions from 120 Maine artists; 169 pieces from 94 artists were selected. Entry fees and sale commissions help support St. Bart’s programs, as well as community services such as Friendship House, Yarmouth Community Food Pantry, and St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry in Portland. Festival hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. through Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. An artists’ reception, including music and refreshments, will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, from 5:30-8 p.m.
