FALMOUTH — Police charged Timothy Richards, 53, of South Portland, with burglary and theft by receiving stolen property in association with vehicle break-ins that took place in east Falmouth during the overnight hours on Dec. 6.
Richards is charged with stealing money, cell phones, GPS devices and other valuables from unlocked cars and garages, according to a Police Department press release. He faces a Class C felony charge, as well as a Class E misdemeanor.
His initial court appearance was scheduled forDec. 12, and more charges could be forthcoming as the investigation continues, police said. Any resident who had a theft from their vehicle or garage between Dec. 6 and 7 was asked to notify the Falmouth Police Department at 781-2300.
