BATH — Arlene Ella Scott, 94, of Bath, died March 16 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, with her family by her side.

She was born March 26, 1919, in Phillips, the daughter of F. Otto and Mattie Nile. She grew up in the Farmington area and graduated from Farmington High School, class of 1938.

On Nov. 13, 1942, in Champaign, Ill., she married Hadley R. Scott, who was in the U.S. Army. Upon returning home, the couple resided in Bath to raise their family.

Scott was a stay-at-home mom who loved her family.  She enjoyed Bingo, word searches and music, and always looked forward to her weekly embroidery group with friends.

She was predeceased by her husband who died Jan. 31, 2002; a daughter, Sandra Carleton; and granddaughter, Lisa Carleton.

She is survived by daughters, Alza Scott and Raylene Grant and husband, Gary, of Wells; sister, Mary Lovell, of Anson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dow; four grandchildren, Joline Scovil, Robyn Blanchard, Taylor Grant and Kelsey Grant; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton.
