SCARBOROUGH — A recount of Republican Rep. Amy Volk’s narrow 2,441 to 2,423 win over Democratic challenger Paul Aranson will requested, Aranson said after seeing the unofficial results in Maine House District 127.
Volk was re-elected Tuesday in the district encompassing the eastern section of town to the Eastern Trail. She first won the set in 2010, defeating incumbent Democrat Sean Flaherty.
Aranson is a former Cumberland County District Attorney who was seekng election to his first legislative office.
