Anna T. O’Leary, 79, of Portland, died peacefully Jan. 13, surrounded by family members. She was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Portland, to Daniel and Hannah Flaherty O’Leary.

She was a beloved sister and aunt and a friend to many and will be deeply missed. She was Catholic and was very proud of her Irish heritage. O’Leary graduated from Cathedral High School and worked a long career as a government contract administrator

She loved sports and rooted for the Celtics, the Yankees and the late NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt.

O’Leary is survived by her brother, John O’Leary Sr.; nephews, Tim O’Leary and wife Patricia, and John O’Leary Jr.; and nieces Kathy O’Leary and Ellen O’Leary McKee and her husband, Scott, and three nephews Spencer, Ethan and Carter McKee.

Visiting hours were held Jan. 16 at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church in South Portland was held Jan 17. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
