BOSTON — Ann Marie Sitzmann, 66, of Concord, Mass., and Yarmouth, died Sept. 21.

Born on July 5, 1945, in Bayonne, N.J., the eldest of nine children of William F. and Helen (Ferry) Folger, she graduated from Holy Family Academy in Bayonne and later from the Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

She worked at St. Luke’s Medical Center in New York City and in the neonatal unit of Maine Medical Center in Portland.

From 1987 to 2009 she was at the Middlesex School in Concord, Mass., where she served as assistant dean of students, director of community service, Peabody Residence head of house and a member of the admissions team.  Throughout the years she demonstrated integrity in all of her relationships and responsibilities.

A woman of spontaneity, gentleness, dignity and grace, she had a natural ability to bring out the most important qualities of others.

She found her center in the well-being of others, demonstrated by her social planning skills and her epicurean delights. Her interests included music, sports, the NY Giants and sailing the coast of Maine with her husband Tom.
